Could you ever consider drinking a glass of fat?
No, we aren't crazy, neither is this a joke. Recent studies have demonstrated that having a fairly easy take away meal is the same as ingesting a nice glass filled with, you guessed it, pure filthy fat.
Ethnic meals may appear a good idea for lunch, however each time you eat Chinese for instance – a normal menu comprising crispy duck, chicken balls and spring rolls – you're eating a lot more than you would imagine. That equates to, in fact, to just under 3,000 calories (more than what the average man’s daily consumption should be) or around 130 grams of fat.
You don't have to be a dietician, a health and fitness trainer or even a boot camp expert to realise how incorrect that is. In Britain, it has been determined that more than one in three people eat take-away food at least twice per week. And whilst all the ectomorphes out there need not to worry, for all the others that might not be great news.
Take-away meals (or, at this point, should it just be called ‘junk food’) is actually fine for the occasional treat, but it shouldn't become a normal habit. People who practice all kinds of sports and exercises are doing the right thing, but most of them are not aware of the fact that by consuming the wrong kind of food after practising, they are just doing more damage than good.
Enjoy your green salad tonight. (And no sauce for you!)
