The last thing that is a common mistake for pet owners is they leave waste laying around. Immediately when you see the puddle or pile clean it up right then and there! Beware though, some cleaners such as ammonia has the same smell as urine to a dog and they will return to pee there. Do not ignore dog mess, because all you will be doing is saying to your pup that it's okay for them to go to the bathroom anywhere in the house instead of the correct way.
