When it comes to buying trainers/footwear, many men take their time. This is the right thing to do, because there are a myriad of factors to take into account. Some women on the other hand, tend to rush into things too fast and will often make the wrong purchase based on aesthetics only. There are things like comfort, fit, and durability and of course style to consider.
By far the most important aspect is comfort. This feature should be considered first while searching for the perfect shoe. Remember the shoes made for fashion only, do not last that long when you are out on the road each day doing your training. You would be doing a disservice to your feet and your back if you think you are going to run in shoes that only look good and do not provide you the comfort you need.
Manufactures today are aware that people need ergonomically designed shoes. They have introduced a mind-blowing amount of high-tech materials to make the experience of training easy and comfortable. Today our feet do not sweat that much due to specialized porous materials. Our ankles and knees are also cushioned much better. That is why it is important to buy your shoes from a reputable store that does not get his stock from a guy on the street.
Follow these simple but important steps when buying your shoes, because it can make a huge different at the end of the day:
Never try on shoes in the early part of the day. It is better to fit them when your feet are a bit swollen from standing on them the whole day or walking for long distances. This way you get to find out what the shoe will feel like after a few hours of wearing it.
You should be able to wiggle your toes comfortably in your new shoes. They should not feel tight at all. Have your feet measured each time you fit on hew shoes because if you are a teenager then chances are your feet are still going to grow in size. However if you have reached a certain age, then your feet will most likely get thinner and narrower with time.
Put on the same socks that you usually train with and then try on your new shoes. If they fit well, then they are the perfect shoe. You should then only look at style because everyone wants to look good these days. Your trainers/footwear are important, give them the time they deserve.
